Hotfix for Patch #4

Greetings Commander,

We have just released a new hotfix for Patch #4. This new version, Alpha v0.0.4b, fixes a few major breakages from the previous patch. We highly recommend downloading it before starting your next run.  Instructions for installing the patch can be found at the bottom of this post.

Stability 

• Fixed crash from missing auto-recall in Shrine of Rage encounter

Gameplay 

• Shields on all ships start charged at the beginning of the encounter
• Adjusted enemy crew generation
• Assault Cyborg is now a Machine Slave
• Fixed issues with huge demon hulk encounter and raider toll encounter
• Fixed Husk Rack upgrade description

Visual

• Fixed crew display in Archives menu
• Fixed repair animations for Elder Blood Mage and Blood Priest

New Preview Builds Discord Channel

To prevent excessively spamming our server with @everyone notifications every time we release a small fix, we have created a new Preview Builds channel for those who are OK with being pinged more frequently by smaller, more incremental updates.

Preview Builds will contain content, fixes, balance changes, and anything you would expect for the next official patch. But they will also contain new bugs and potential crashes that arise from these tweaks. We're separating this from the main patches so that players who are open to more frequent updates and want to assist with bug reports can opt in, without disrupting those who just prefer a stable version of the game to play.

How to Download Preview Builds 

Preview Builds will be downloadable on Itch the same way you download regular patches, but instead of being labeled "Void War - Backer Alpha v0.0.x.zip", they will be labeled "Preview Build v0.0.x.zip".

How to Install the Patch

If you have already bought the game, you can install the latest patch by following these instructions:

• At the top right corner of the Itch page, next to your username, click the "down" arrow to open the dropdown menu, then click "My Library".
  
  
• Find Void War in your library and click the "Download" button.
  
  
• That's it! You now have the latest version of the game. Your save data will carry through automatically.* You can delete the old version of the game whenever you want.

*For those curious, your save data is not stored with the main game files and is actually located here: C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Void_War
