Steam Launch in 4 days!
Greetings Commander,
Void War launches on Steam in 4 days! May 30th is the official release date. It will be released as a "soft" V1 launch which includes the full roster of all 12 commanders, plus 9 unique hulls, each with 2-3 variants. We were originally planning to use Steam Early Access, but due to some last-minute technical issues we’ve decided that a soft V1 release was the best solution.
Of course, we have a lot more content planned, and will be continuing to add content to the game throughout 2025 . We will release a roadmap in the coming days that provides more details on what to expect.
In other news, here’s a little promo data card for one of our favorite commanders, the Witch! We will be posting more preview images in the days leading up to launch, including some that reveal more about the powerful new enemies appearing in the Steam release…

Will there be any Steam specific features in the v1 soft launch like achievements?
The Steam launch will come with several new pieces of content, most notably the new Minibosses features. Achievements will be added at a later date.
What exactly is "a soft V1 release"? The gold release candidate but not quite?
How do we activate it on Steam?
We will issue Steam keys through Itch at some point after the Steam launch. Hopefully soon after, but it may take a few days depending on how Itch's system works. More details here: https://itch.io/docs/buying/already-bought
