Stability Patch

Greetings Commander,

Patch #5 is now available for download. We HIGHLY recommend downloading this patch before starting your next run as it fixes a number of major issues, including the rage-inducing Purity of Steel crash and the "unresponsive room slots" issue.

• Fixed room slots becoming unresponsive after recalling crew inside "blocked" assault sleds
• Fixed Purity of Steel crash
• Fixed Vile Sepulchre crash
• Provisional fix for Return to Stations crash

Gameplay 

• Fixed Mirrored Fire Control instantly depleting Munitions
• Fixed Flux-Priest issue with beam weapons
• Fixed Seraphic Resonators failing to instant charge when beam weapons are firing
• Fixed shop menu not pausing game properly
• Fixed enemy fusillades not firing properly
• Fixed enemy ion weapons not targeting systems
• Nodes in maps are now selected on mouse release instead of mouse press to reduce misclicks
• Fixed issues with colony evacuation encounter
• Added new merchant talk line
• Removed Drain Strength from crew on Relic Freighter A
• Ensure faction shrines are disabled when starting new game
• Fixed tutorial breaking if you vent the first round of fire
• Provisional fix for crew on player ship sometimes getting stuck

• Fixed typo in Blood Spear, Riot Shield
• Fixed typo in demon encounter, lost merchant encounter, death cult transport encounter
• Fixed typo in merchant talk
• Fixed broken character in encounter intro text
• Fixed incorrect lore text in Engineer and Combat Husk

How to Install the Patch

If you have already bought the game, you can install the latest patch by following these instructions:

• At the top right corner of the Itch page, next to your username, click the "down" arrow to open the dropdown menu, then click "My Library".
  
  
• Find Void War in your library and click the "Download" button.
  
  
• That's it! You now have the latest version of the game. Your save data will carry through automatically.* You can delete the old version of the game whenever you want**.

*For those curious, your save data is not stored with the main game files and is actually located here: C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Void_War

**NOTE: Installing a new patch WILL break your last autosave, so make sure to finish your last run before installing.
